KHM sponsorship award for female artists

KHM development prize for female artists 2020/21

Awarded by the KHM Equal Opportunities

Dear female graduates of the KHM,

seize this unique opportunity and apply for the KHM Promotion Award for Women Artists 2022!

The presentation opportunities, experiences, and contacts that come with it are something very special.

The KHM Promotional Award for Women Artists (also known as the Equality Award) has been successfully established at KHM since 2006. From the beginning, KHM's Equal Opportunities intended to support KHM's female students and aspiring artists in their transition from art school to the free market in the art, film and/or media business. Experience has shown that networking and the presentation of the awarded female artists and their works with/in professional networks and artistic publics are particularly important and supportive.

The award goes to one female artist in each of these three categories and thus consists of:

+ a prize money of 1.000 Euro each

+ a presentation in a renowned network

1. The Cinema Award called "Shoot" goes to an artist with a cinematic focus (feature film, experimental film, documentary, animation, image design, screenplay) in cooperation with the International Women* Film Fest Dortmund+Köln. The award includes prize money of 1,000 euros, the award ceremony and the presentation of a cinematic project by the award winner at the IFFF Dortmund+Köln (March 29 to April 3, 2022 in Cologne) during the festival. https://frauenfilmfest.com/

2. The Art Promotion Award goes to an artist from the broad field of the arts (photography, mixed media art, sound art ...) in cooperation with the Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen. The prize includes prize money of 1,000 euros, the award ceremony and a solo exhibition of artistic-media projects from October 2022 at Museum Morsbroich, Leverkusen. http://www.museum-morsbroich.de
