Murak Bektas (32), the son of Turkish guest workers, lives on unemployment pay and dreams of a better future and a happy family life. But due to his long-time unemployment, he is quite far away from that. He doesn’t manage to gain a foothold in the working world and is constantly troubled by financial and family problems. Demoralized by his daily struggle for life, family problems, and a deep identity crisis, Murat takes a crucial decision… This experimental documentary-movie makes use of fictional and real elements. Fictional characters develop a life of their own, creating their own reality. The combination of different medial means lets the audience embark on a quest for their own subjective truth.
