Studying with child

Dear parents, parents-to-be and guardians,

Studying and/or working with a child is not always easy. We try to list the most important links on this page to make it easier for you to find help and/or care.

The first step after the birth is to register with Little Bird, where daycare places are allocated. However, it is also worth looking in other ways. KEKS is a portal where daycare places are offered and searched for.

A note shows you that you can continue your studies during parental leave without having the semesters credited to you. Please contact the KHM study office for more information.

Parent-child room

There is a parent-child room at the KHM. The room is available to students, staff and all members of the art academy in the event of childcare bottlenecks. This room offers students the opportunity to look after each other's children while taking responsibility for them, e.g. during a seminar. Staff members can also bring their children to the university in case of childcare bottlenecks in order to pursue their work from there.

If you would like to use the room, please contact the Equal Opportunities Officer Erica Boccasso or Kasia Renner.
