Over 3,000 student works listed in the KHM archive form the largest part of its inventory. Students have the possibility to register and present their work via an online form.

Study at the KHM is project oriented. The spectrum of student work is broad. It includes installations, feature and documentary films, photography, video work, websites, electronic music, animation, projects and action in public space, light art, computer games, software programmes, performances, scripts and hybrid forms. Students realise up to four of their own projects during their time at the KHM, as well as developing other pieces of work as part of seminars and exercises, some of which are collaborative.
Online presentation offers the possibility to access more detailed information on the content, the motivation as well as the students behind the respective projects.
