Kinästhesie

Kinesthesia is actually a term for the human perception of one's own movement. Friedrich Boell's diploma installation series Kinäthetik takes up this term and applies it to three objects made by the artist. These are a moving wall showing photographic works found on the garbage. A Yamaha home organ, in a newly framed body of aluminum construction profiles, equipped with an incredible number of speakers. And a sideboard on which a globe and a floor lamp stand next to a pistol made of penny pieces and ""Das Kapital"" by Karl Marx. These objects completely lack a sense of their own movement. This is because it is not yet fully programmed. The sensors are missing and computer-controlled camera systems are hardly available at the moment due to the global chip crisis. Therefore, the artist himself lends a hand and steers his installations remotely on circular paths through the exhibition space. On special occasions, the installations are also used in a performative context.
