On a hill near Cologne there is a station. Inside, the earth's movements are monitored and recorded. In the basement there is an archive. Fifty-four years fill the space. A measuring clock ticks through the building's old water pipes. Next to it there's a solid platform. A toad lives in the ventilation shaft. Instrumental drawings and cartographies point at locations around the globe. Outside the station one overlooks a valley. Sixteen tableau-like images reveal fragments of the place and its architectural configuration, accompanied by soundscapes of rooms, machines, sometimes of the visually absent people. Informations on objects are given by a voice over, relations emerge. A static approach to a permanent movement. A documentary essay.
