In Spite Of The Night - Eine Bauhausparty

As a marker of the end of the symposium Human Space Machine 'In Spite of the Nght' invites you to the Bauhaus cellar - an unseen, unused hidden space which sits beneath the stage.
Historically this is where Gropius threw his birthday parties and his farewell do, where performers changed into Schlemmer's costumes, and where Herr Gottschalk and the beloved Bauhaus dog Asta lived. The cellar acts in fiction and in film as a kind of subconscious, and the setting for 'In Spite of The Night' is no different. A space for social interaction and performance interventions, for dancing and drinking, and for seeing the Bauhaus from the perspective of the cellar - we ask the question Schlemmer once asked: "tell me how you party, and i'll tell you who you are".
