Dokumentarische Miniaturen 1

Welches Verhältnis besteht zwischen mir und den „Dingen, die passieren können“? Wer „steht da wem im Weg“ und was hat das alles mit Dokumentarfilm zu tun?

Das über zwei Semester laufende Seminar vereint Analyse und Diskussion von dokumentarischen Filmen mit ersten Miniaturen zur eigenen dokumentarischen Praxis. Erprobt wird die Suche nach geeigneten Stoffen, die Recherche und Vororterkundung, Teambildung, Verhalten gegenüber Protagonist*innen und erste produktionstechnische Abläufe. Der erste dokumentarische Kurzfilm wird auf 16 mm realisiert.

Teil des Seminars sind technischen Einführungen zu Settonaufnahme und Montage. Im zweiten Teil des GLS (SoSe 2025) findet die Postproduktion der Miniaturen statt.

Um auf 16mm drehen zu können empfehlen wir dringend eine Teilnahme am Kompakt- Seminar „Analog Capture“  (25.01. – 01.02.2027).

What is the relationship between myself and the “things that can happen”? Who is “standing in whose way”, and what does all this have to do with documentary film?

This two-semester seminar combines the analysis and discussion of documentary films with initial exercises in students’ own documentary practice. Students will explore the search for suitable subject matter, research and location scouting, team building, how to interact with protagonists, and the initial stages of the production process. The first short documentary film will be shot on 16 mm. The seminar also includes an interview workshop, as well as technical introductions to on-set recording and editing.

To be able to shoot on 16mm film, we strongly recommend attending the “Analogue Capture” compact seminar (25.01. – 01.02.2027).

Darüberhinaus wird ein Interviewseminar mit Settoneinführung in Zusammenarbeit mir den Kamera Lehrenden im Januar/Februar angeboten.
