Video artist Nam June Paik saw a future in which “everybody will have his own TV channel.” In a 1968 interview with WDR, Fluxus artist Wolf Vostell described the concept of the iPhone as a portable device connecting people around the world through live video and audio, leading to the dissolution of architecture and politics as we know them. At the intersections of art, technology, and popular broadcast culture, the seminar rediscovers television as an artistic practice from a post-broadcast perspective.

The seminar explores TV-formats, oscillating between avant-garde experimentation and popular entertainment, while participants producer their own television shorts for online streaming.

Der Videokünstler Nam June Paik sah eine Zukunft, in der „jeder seinen eigenen Fernsehsender haben wird“. In einem Interview mit dem WDR aus dem Jahr 1968 beschrieb der Fluxus-Künstler Wolf Vostell das Konzept des iPhones als tragbares Gerät, das Menschen weltweit über Live-Video und -Audio miteinander verbindet und damit zur Auflösung von Architektur und Politik, wie wir sie kennen, führe.
