SHOWCASE-PITCH

Das Seminar besteht aus zwei Terminen am 8. Mai und am 3. Juli ab 17 Uhr und einer Probe am Tag vor dem Showcase vor Ort, voraussichtlich dem Cinenova-Kino.

Die "Kunst des Pitchens" ist eine Schlüsselkompetenz für alle, die auf der Suche nach Partnern für die Realisierung und Finanzierung ihrer filmischen Projekte sind. Die Aufgabe: Wie kann ich in sechs Minuten Menschen davon überzeugen, dass sie mein Filmprojekt finanzieren oder co-produzieren möchten? Gleichzeitig ist die Entwicklung des Pitches auch eine Chance, sein eigenes Verhältnis zum Stoff, die Motivation und die Dramaturgie zu überprüfen und zu entwickeln. Im Herbst 2023 findet das Showcase statt – die alljährliche Fachveranstaltung der Film- und Medienbranche der KHM. Neben einem umfangreichen Film-Programm haben Studierende der KHM die Möglichkeit, ihre Diplom oder Debütfilm-Ideen (nur Langfilm- oder Serienstoffe) der versammelten Fachöffentlichkeit zu präsentieren. Um schon frühzeitig auf die Veranstaltung vorzubereiten und gleichzeitig die Ideen zu prüfen und zu testen, bieten wir dieses Seminar an. Für den Fall, dass es mehr Einreichungen gibt, als der zeitliche Rahmen der Präsentation dies erlaubt, wählen wir am Ende des Semesters die Projekte für den Showcase-Pitch aus.

Für Hauptstudium, Diplom 2 Studierende und für KHM-Absolvent*innen der Jahre 2021, 2022  und 2023.

The "art of pitching" is a key skill for anyone looking for partners to realize and finance their cinematic projects. The task: How can I convince people in six minutes that they would like to finance or co-produce my film project? At the same time, developing the pitch is also a chance to examine and develop one's own relationship to the material, motivation and dramaturgy. In the fall of 2023, the Showcase will take place - KHM's annual professional event for the film and media industry. In addition to an extensive film program, KHM students will have the opportunity to present their thesis or debut film ideas (feature-length or series material only) to the assembled professional audience. In order to prepare early for the event and at the same time to check and test the ideas, we offer this seminar. In the event that there are more submissions than the presentation time frame allows, we will select projects for the showcase pitch at the end of the semester.

For majors, diploma 2 students and for KHM graduates* of 2021, 2022 and 2023.
