Seminar description

The seminar is intended as a workshop to help you develop your project further and gain a clearer understanding of the NATURE of your project as perceived by the Market / Industry outside the KHM. Building on the topics from the winter semester - simulating a lab - we will invite 3 specific guests (Streaming, Festival, Development- Lab) working on the threshold between the Art Market and Cinema Industry, to join us within the context of the seminar and give feedback and insight to 6 Projects, that are Work-in-progress. The purpose is to get an in-depth look at the potential of one’s project. Exploring possible directions for further development. And to hopefully to get ideas for a strategy to help you realise the project. Through the seminar, we hope to gain a creative and pragmatic understanding of what the market is for film as an Art Form. We also hope to feed off the experience of our guests and understand what possibilities there are for navigating this realm. The Seminar is intended for students who are working with film (fiction, documentary, hybrid or experimental) and are in the process of realising their Diploma and who wish to start thinking about where they are heading after the KHM. Only six projects can be discussed within the period of the seminar, as we would like each guest to interact with each project. We would like to continue with some projects from the winter semester, but we are also delighted to receive new projects at an advanced stage.
