Seminar description

Since every visual art project is both a timely process and progressively a collective one, most of your writing consists in conveying to other people your ideas and intentions. While you are developing a project, the challenge is to focus on your idea and, at the same time, to prepare every step in the production process, finding a common language with your team, other collaborating partners and yourself. Equally important is to understand what works and what is less effective when communicating your ideas. By showing and discussing your previous work, even if you don't feel very confident with the result, you can compare your initial intentions with the actual out-come and learn from it. This seminar is an ongoing framework to support and develop cinematic projects, no matter the format: from screenplays for fiction films (short and long), experimental works as well as series, XR works, etc. Besides giving you the possibility to present and discuss your projects, we will have in depth sessions concerning dramaturgy, (screen)writing in its relation to the visual work, and explore topics such as pitching, funding, working with producers and festivals.
