Aesthetics of Access – eine Einführung

In diesem dreiteiligen autonomen Seminar setzen wir uns mit Aesthetics of Access, Behinderung und Repräsentation vor und hinter der Kamera auseinander. Der Fokus liegt auf filmischen Arbeiten, die behandelten Themen und Fragestellungen lassen sich jedoch auch auf andere künstlerische Felder übertragen. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie Behinderung in Film und Kunst sichtbar werden kann und wie künstlerische Arbeiten von Anfang an zugänglicher gedacht und gestaltet werden können.

Das Seminar ist in drei thematische Blöcke gegliedert. In jedem Block ist eine andere Gästin bzw. ein anderes Gäst*innen-Team eingeladen, die aus ihrer jeweiligen Arbeit heraus berichten und ihre Perspektiven teilen.

In this three-part autonomous seminar, we will explore aesthetics of access, disability and representation in front of and behind the camera. The focus will be on cinematic works, but the topics and questions addressed can also be applied to other artistic fields. The central question is how disability can be made visible in film and art and how artistic works can be conceived and designed to be more accessible from their initial conception.

The seminar is divided into three thematic blocks. In each block, a different guest or team of guests is invited to talk about on their respective work and share their perspectives.
