Furnishings
The Library & Media Library has 30 reading and
work places and audiovisual places for watching DVDs, BluRay-discs or videos
and listening to CDs. One audiovisual place includes a BluRay-disc-player as
well as a 3D TV.
Catalogue or internet research is possible at eleven stations. A photocopier is available on the ground floor (KHM - ID Card necessary ). Additionally, we offer a scanner where you can save texts on your USB flash drive for free.

Lending service for KHM members
Students and fellows at the Academy of Media Art Cologne, on showing a valid access card to KHM, may borrow books and AV media.
Two renewals are possible online via the user account in the library catalogue if the medium has not been reserved.The maximum loan period including renewal is 90 days.
The Academy teaching staff may borrow books and AV media at any time.
Five renewals are possible (online user account, by telephone, in person, by e-mail) within the 180 days maximum loan period.
Television recordings cannot be taken out for copyright reasons. Video workplaces have been made available for watching these.
Interlibrary loans
Books and articles in journals that are not available in the library but needed for scientific work can be ordered from other libraries via interlibrary loan.

Students

In the context of teaching, television recordings can be taken out for four weeks.

Diploma thesis
Diploma thesis can be read anytime inside the library. For copyright reasons, borrowing or copying is not allowed.
Informations for guests
Guests are welcome anytime and can use our media inside the library during the opening hours.
A photocopier (5 cent/copy) is available as well as a scanner where you
can save texts on your USB flash drive for free. Additionally, we offer
AV places for watching DVDs, BluRay-discs or videos and listening to
CDs.

Digital
publishing at the KHM
The library
offers all affiliates of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne the possibility to
digitally publish academic documents, artistic work and teaching material via
