Gemeinschaftsraum, Bücher, Installation und Workshops
From 30 April to 16 May, GLASMOOG's project space will be transformed into a communal space where anyone is welcome to sit, have some tea, and relax.
Food, cooking, and the act of eating play major roles in culture and community building. In this work we look into the connections between memory, nostalgia and cuisine. How foods hold narrative values in people's lives, and how this translates into our relationships with each other.
This space involves a research book on the topic of food anthropology and a book featuring meals that were shared; along with stories of what these dishes meant to specific people, and the recipes. Additionally, the exhibition will have three workshops: a kimchi making workshop, a potluck, and a miso making workshop. These workshops are free and require no previous knowledge or registration, anyone is welcome to just join.
