In July 2004 my mother has to undergo a liver transplantation. After a long time in hospital, this is the chance for both my parents to start a new life. But continuous health examinations, countless medicaments and permanent uncertainty of whether the organ is accepted brings the changed situation to mind every day. How did it come to this, I keep asking myself. When and why did my mother's disease actually start? The film is telling the story of my parents' lifes and love. Over the period of seven years it accompanies big and little changes, moments of retrospection and new perceptions and shows how it feels when you start all over again.
