Roundtable im Kontext von a Wing that was a Hand.
Mit den Künstler*innen Paula Strunden, Pascal Marcel Dreier (KHM), Leoni Fischer (Symbiotic Lab), Nathan Schönewolf (KHM) und Marjolein van der Loo.
The first joint production by Pascal Marcel Dreier (Assistent Professor, Multispecies Storytellling at KHM) and Paula Maya Strunden explores the (im)possibilities of embodying a non-human perspective. Starting from kestrels, chickens, and other feathered creatures, they investigate the potential of XR to disrupt and expand human perceptual and movement patterns in transformative ways.
The event highlights this artistic development process, which the artists have undergone in recent months as part of the Media Art Fellowship of Medienwerk NRW.
The program begins with flight exercises led by Paula Strunden. Pascal Marcel Dreier will give an insight into the artistic development process, complemented by short impulses from Leoni Fischer (Symbiotic Lab), curator of the project, and Nathan Schönewolf, cooperation partner 3D-visualisation.
Curator and birdwatcher Marjolein van der Loo (NL) will present her newly published book With a Bird (Onomatopee, 2025) and subsequently moderate a conversation with the artists and Leoni Fischer.
