Summer semester 2025 sees the Live/Art seminar continue collectively reading and interrogating dramatic texts together as a way of reflecting on contemporary themes and historical theatrical traditions.
Over the course of the semester, we will also explore experimental directorial and performative exercises using scenes and excerpts to illustrate interpretative approaches and look at the role of the camera in live work, and the influence of pop culture in performative settings.
In Dramarama we will be looking at significant texts and excerpts from plays written by Caryl Churchill, Biyi Bandele, Debbie Tucker Green, Federico Garcia Lorca and Henrik Ibsen.
