Dana Bunescu is a Romanian film editor and sound editor. She is best known for editing Cristian Mungiu's films 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007, the film won three awards at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, including the Palme d'Or), The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceaușescu (dir. Andrei Ujică, 2010, screened at Cannes) as well as Calin Netzer’s Ana, Mon Amour (2017, Berlinale), for which she won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution. As a sound designer Dana worked on films such as Child’s Pose by Călin Peter Netzer, winner of Golden Bear for Best Film, Berlinale 2013, and Aferim! by Radu Jude (winner of Silver Bear at the Berlinale 2015). The list of films she worked on is long, to name some more: The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, dir. Cristi Puiu (2005, Un Certain Regard Award), The Distance Between Me and Me, with Mona Nicoară (2018) and The Chalice. Of Sons and Daughters, with Catalina Tesar (2022).
