Mrs und Mr Trockenmilch

The documentary's main characters are an ordinary couple from China. They had lived in China's rural areas, they went out to work in the big city to maintain the whole family. Last year, in order for their son to have better living conditions in the future, they left their hometown and their child to Germany - thousands of miles away to search for better job opportunities. But when they came to Germany, they could not speak German or English, the only thing they can do to sustain life is to buy milk powder every day for others. From monday to saturday they have to walk 10 hours through the streets of Cologne and buy the milk powder in every shop in Cologne. Their life is tedious and monotonous in Germany, the phone calls with their child are the only hope and courage in their life. And their child is far away in China and is also experiencing a different childhood without parents.
