Harzreise

The film ""Journey to the Harz"""" is inspired by the book by Heinrich Heine, but does not attempt to depict the book's content. On the contrary, it documents a self-experiment of moving through the same natrural and urban spaces as Heine, and presenting own experiences reflected against the background of Heines's thoughts. One appoorach is the contradictory relationship between the longing for nature, the irreversible alienation from nature, and the attempt to find nature again in a scpae that has already been discovered.
