The series consists of black and white photographs of landscapes in Tenerife of Canary Islands, where relations with the moon are found. The photographs were taken with 6 x 6 cm format Hasselblad camera, such type had been used in the 60’s and 70’s by NASA astronauts to produce lunar landscape photographs, resulting in panoramic photographs composite of multiple square photographs. The island is well known for its lunar like landscapes and where many science fiction films such as “Planet of the Apes” and “Star Wars” have been allegedly filmed as well as been exploited for scientific researches. Europe’s aerospace company EADS-Astrium built the new prototype Mars rover “Bridgette” and in spring of 2005 the vehicle was tested on Tenerife, aiming to be launched to Mars in 2011. The photograph of the full moon was photographed using a telescope of Canarian Institute of Astrophysics.
