Polarflux

The image and sound recordings for Sebastian Thewes' video installation ""Polarflux"" were made in the northern Arctic in Scandinavia. These recordings were combined with found material and algorithmically generated structures to create hybrid landscape images. ""Polarflux"" guides the viewers through nine scenes, each representing nine fictional locations characterized by nine different moods. With an ironic undertone, it questions our imbalanced relationship with nature.
