Dumb Angel is an interactive rendition of the ill-fated Beach Boys ,Smile’ album. Based on the legendary unreleased recordings of the ,Smile’ sessions by Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson, it is probably the most mysterious „lost album“ in pop music history. Originally conceived as an installation for the graduate project, ,Dumb Angel’ has evolved into a full grown interactive music CD-ROM. The implementation aims to give the interested listener the opportunity to experience the intricate and web-like puzzle of song fragments and sound bites as user-freindly as possible.
