One Art, One Place

Ad Reinhardt’s statement “There is just one painting” was broadcast every 10 minutes through the sound system of the Trinitatiskirche (church of a St. Trinity) in Cologne. The installation took place in the church and made use of its loudspeakers in order to place this radical text about art in juxtaposition to the context of sacred space. The dogmatism of art is therefore compared to that of religion.
