The work is a interactive video-installation, developed over a video-game platform. The spectator is invited to interact with the piece through a joystick, by creating movement in the human male that stands in an empty black space. The avatar can walk in any direction and get duplicated, like in a sequential arrangement of mirror images, creating a distortion that turns the scene into an abstract illusion. The duplicated images fade when the player walks back the same route and gets to the starting point. The walk or walking action, theme in art of all time, has always been used to emphasize the relationship of physical space and context to a particular individual or group. The way to go is always seen as a step towards a state other of the physical and spiritual experience. However, many times the way and the journey itself are more important than the goal to reach. In this tradition the work is a metaphor about the nonsense the idea of progress and advancement - ideal rooted in the birth of consumer societies. The work can also be seen as an image of the unit that is duplicated, cloned, and is lost in the abstraction of the masses of itself. It is the illusion of representation of an individual, a space, a time, a road, a search.
