""It takes courage to give birth to a child"". Anka and Lauryn, two prospective midwives, are dealing with the difficulties and obstacles of the ""birth"" system in their last year of training. The film accompanies her in her everyday life as a midwife and follows her thoughts and arguments. Why is there violence during childbirth? What is the job of midwives? And what does a feminist attitude look like in the profession? The film shows the courage, caution and empathy with which the two deal with the subject. Similar views but also differences between the two protagonists and their backgrounds come to light.
