Hommage

I cut up thirteen foam mattresses with an electric bread knife. I glue and sew the newly created panels, varying from very thin to very thick, back together until there is a surface that can be folded into a space that works like a tent. On the right side the cave curves into the room for a total of seven meters. It measures two meters and a half at its widest point, while reaching a height of two meters. A room within a room. The otherwise visible architecture disappears, it becomes invisible. The rooms door remains the entrance and exit but is no longer recognizable as such. Everything in front of you, behind you, above and below remains soft. The unevenness of the ground might make you stumble a little, but even if you fall, you can’t hurt yourself.
