My mother's diagnosis was multi-system atrophy. This means multiple systemic failure. Bit by bit, all the body's systems fail, until death. ""Once it's gone, it's gone,"" say the neurologists. The author uses AI to make his mother speak again. In a densely interwoven essay text and the use of few images, the film reflects our changed relationship to the future.
