The Body as Threshold

“The Body as Threshold” is a CG film that understands violence not as a singular event, but as a field of force—diffuse, structuring, and entangled with care, grief, and multispecies survival. Inspired by the Midway Atoll, where Laysan albatrosses unknowingly feed their chicks plastic, the film constructs a speculative topography of ecological collapse. Plastic becomes a body: immortal, yet lethal. The bodies form the landscape. A flying CG camera traverses this terrain, tracing the fractures of modernity and opening spaces where collapse and care coexist.
