Ein Tag und eine Ewigkeit

The 93-year-old Dorothea has, in her own words, “lived her life.” She shares her thoughts with us, the things that occupy her in her old age, what she mulls over. Her daily routine is always the same and she does everything at a slow pace. Her old voice is full of the energy and the joy of a young girl and sometimes her cynical humour shines through. She believes that old age is achieved through great discipline, courage, exertion and pain, and although she’s often alone, she doesn’t feel lonely. “A Day and an Eternity” is a film about love and saying goodbye.
