Rebeca

My grandmother Rebeca died in a tragic accident on a highway in Lima in 1993. This film tells the story from an autobiographical perspective and is immersed in the contradictions that arose from my position as filmmaker and grandson. How much does the media I work with distort the story? What kind of truth emerges from such radical subjectivity? In dealing with such questions, the film achieves an intimacy that enables both portrait and self-portrait.
