Brain Drain (or Are Spanish People Taking Over the World?) is a multi-channel video installation that invites the viewer to reflect upon the phenomenon of young Spanish people who have left Spain in search of a better future and the promise of personal growth. Brain Drain presents a constellation of people whose stories intersect through socio-political and personal axes. They are linked with the artist through online conversations in which they talk about their motivations, their enthusiasm, their questions… and they are linked through their physical absence. Brain Drain is a piece that aims to reduce the distance between people. You are invited to listen to any of the stories by choosing them through an analogue interface. You are also invited to share the experience with the people around you – and who knows how far that can take us all.
