Der Jahrhundertsommer

Yun is a single Chinese woman living in Europe who survives by working as a hairdresser for fellow chinese. She experiences a painful breakup and loses everything, including the roof over her head. By chance, she meets Hua - a music student - who offers her temporary shelter. Hua's tenderness touches Yun, who notices that Hua stays together with her boyfriend - a Chinese businessman, Tian - only for financial reasons. Yun develops feelings for Hua and would like to help her escape from Tian. But Hua, who is uncertain of the emotions and feelings churning in her heart, is hesitant of what to do.
