Marie is caught in a life she never wanted – out of a sense of duty she has taken over her parent's farm. At her mother's birthday party her sister Anne and her boyfriend Daniel make a surprise visit. Anne who ran away with Marie’s earlier boyfriend Daniel three years ago, returns with the desire of consolation. Marie cannot handle Anne’s presence and escapes into an uncompromising silence. Marie’s silent denial leads to a power struggle between the two sisters and forces Marie to confront her past and face her own life.
