Self-Built Instrument

This work is focused on sound performance with an experimental instrument which is composed of strings and a metallic sound box, producing overtones, harmonics and feedback. It is capable to play with different sound colours : Resonances by cooper, bowing on strings, overtones and feedback. All factors trigger each others sound. It is not about playing a specific tone or about creating a musical harmony, because the instrument is not able to perfectly control zhis. Playing this Instrument is challenging your capacity, as gestures and sonic phenomenons follow sense and space. The artist composed a piece and partly uses few repertoire, however it is mostly interesting to find out what kind of sound comes to nest in mesh. The Artist tried to get over typical aesthetics of classical music, such as using precise pitches, melodies, and read scores. Instead, her approach is to discover unusual sound elements that are traditionally considered mistakes.
