The info day takes place digitally. There is a rich offer of video conferences on the different aspects and artistic focuses of the study program "Media Arts" at the KHM, which you can dial into.
Anyone interested in studying “Media Arts” and applying for the winter semester 2026/27 at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne is welcome to take a digital stroll!
The study office and teaching staff of the KHM will talk about and provide insights into the goals and possibilities of studying at the KHM - “Media Arts” in 9 semesters (undergraduate, diploma 1) or 4 semesters (postgraduate, diploma 2).
What is the difference between undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the KHM? What should I apply for and by when? What artistic specialisations are hidden behind the umbrella term “Media Arts”?
Majors such as Animation, Cinematography, Experimental Film, Video Art, Experimental Computer Science, Sound Art, Artistic Photography, Art and Media Studies, Installation, Performance, Literary Writing, Screenwriting and Directing for Feature and Documentary Film will be presented throughout the day.
The program starts via Zoom at 10 am and ends at 6 pm. The Zoom links will be published at the latest on this page two days in advance.
At 7 p.m., the KHM film series HEIMSPIEL will present the documentary film ‘Reminiscence of a Moviegoer’ by KHM graduate Christiane Büchner (2025, 95 min, all information here). You are cordially invited to attend the film evening in the KHM auditorium (free admission). For those who are not on site, you can participate in the film evening online.
