Beate Gütschow is a contemporary German artist, living and working in Cologne and Berlin. Gütschow received her education from University of Fine Arts, Hamburg (1993-2000) and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (1997). She has exhibited in notable venues such as Fotoarsenal Vienna, the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau, Dresden Kunsthalle Nürnberg, Nuremberg and the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago. Her work is held in many private and public collections including that of the Guggenheim, NY; Kunsthalle, Hamburg; Städel Museum, Frankfurt; Kunsthaus Zürich; SF Moma, CA; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.
