Dr. Sabine Schulz has been the chancellor of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne since February 2012. Born in Hilden (NRW), the jurist studied in Freiburg, Munich and Grenoble (graduating with a Diplome de Droit Français). She did her PhD between 1998 and 2000 at the University of Potsdam on “French ‘action directe’ - Model for a crackdown on warranty in German sales law?". She has worked continuously in the field of higher education since 2004, first as a legal adviser and data protection officer at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, and also one year as data protection officer of the collective body of art and music colleges.
Since 2008 she was legal adviser and deputy head of law, academic and student matters at the University of Bonn. Dr. Sabine Schulz has been the spokesperson of the chancellors of the collective body of art and music colleges in the state of NRW since June 2015.
