Seminar description

Without care, there is no love, no work, no joy, no art, no life. To look at the present from the perspective of translocal care work and transversal care relations is to highlight a multi-layered, far- reaching opposition: Few things stand in such strong opposition to capitalist logic as the multiple layers of care. Framed by queer- feminist discourses on reproduction, the militant research of care relations, the international care strike movements as well as questions about how infrastructures of care function in urban neighbourhoods and in platform capitalism and what the currently discussed "media of care" are, this seminar takes a journey through queer techno-feminist, activist and theoretical spaces of contemporary ecologies of care.
