The practices and reflections around which the seminar series "Politics of Deviance" revolves in the winter semester are those of the French social psychologist Fernand Deligny (1913-1996). In 1969, against any kind of hospitalisation, a social community emerged from the activist environment of the 1968 movement in the Cévennes, which traced the deviant movements, the traces, above all, of neurodiverse, non-speaking children. Pedagogical-therapeutic modes of perception unfold from cartographic practices, which in turn are inextricably linked to certain cinematic practices that Deligny called camerer. Not only the practices and philosophies of Deleuze and Guattari, from the concept of the rhizome to that of the machinic, to the practices at La Borde clinic, are deeply influenced by Deligny's work, but also scientific and artistic practices.
