If you want to change your KHM password yourself, you will find the link in your personal area after logging in to the KHM website. You will find it at the top, above the menu bar, if you click on the symbol with the arrow and on “Login via Shibboleth”.

To change your password, you will need your old password and the four-digit number on your access card.

Further information can be found in the Student Office, in the Human Resources Department or in the IT group.

The following points must be clarified for the signature on the departure form (routing slip):

•     Deletion or deactivation: e-mail address and personal website
  
•     Storage space: Cloud, Elemens and computer seminar room
  
•     Uniflow printer credit
  

The KHM supports the following conference tools.

1. zoom

Is a commercial, external solution for video conferences with up to 300 participants. Access for all KHM employees is via KHM Shibboleth.

2. DFNconf

With DFNConf, all KHM employees can easily conduct video conferences with students and guests worldwide, regardless of platform. Access is via KHM Shibboleth. The number of participants is limited to 23.

For authentication, click on “Sign in” and log in on the familiar IDP Shibboleth page with your KHM account.

To use Zoom via the browser, you must use a Chrome/Chromium-based browser. Firefox, Safari and Edge cause problems with the sound.

To ensure data protection, KHM-IT has defined the following default settings for all users.

Password

It is not possible to create a meeting without a password.

Show a link “Join from your browser”

Participation in meetings is possible in the browser without registering with Zoom and also without downloading and using the Zoom app.

This is an alternative solution for participants who cannot/do not want to download, install or run applications. Please note that the meeting experience in the browser is limited.

Lecture recording

A recording can only be started by the host. The consent of the participants is automatically requested.

Recording lectures and posting them on YouTube, etc.

KHM-Zoom is configured so that recordings are only stored locally on the host's computer. Saving to the Zoom, YouTube or Facebook servers is not possible.

Encryption

Audio and video streams are simply encrypted. End-to-end encryption is activated for the chat, which means that third parties cannot access its content. Nevertheless, no personal details or other sensitive data should be disclosed here.

Mit dem Dienst DFNconf bietet der DFN-Verein seinen Nutzern im Wissenschaftsbereich die Möglichkeit, Video-, Audio- und Webkonferenzen durchzuführen. Der Dienst ist auf den Bedarf von Forschung und Lehre zugeschnitten und stellt die zentralen technischen Komponenten bereit, die erforderlich sind.

Hier eine kurze Anleitung um sich auf der Plattform anzumelden:

1. Um einen neuen Meetingraum zu erstellen müssen Sie die Webseite https://www.conf.dfn.de aufrufen.

2. Mit einem Klick auf "Veranstalter-Login" werden Sie auf das "DFNconf Veranstalterportal" verlinkt.

3. Suchen Sie dort nach unserer der Einrichtung, also "Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln" und klicken Sie auf weiter.

4. Nun erscheint das gewohnte Anmeldefenster der KHM mit der Bitte sich mit dem Benutzername und dem Passwort zu authentifizieren. Dieser Dienst ist wie die Wolke oder unser Webmail mit dem KHM Account verbunden. Somit ist keine zusätzliche Registrierung notwendig.

5. Nach der erfolgreichen Anmeldungen sind Sie im "DFNconf-Portal" angemeldet und können neue Meetingräume, Vorlesungen, Telefonkonferenen oder Aufzeichnungen starten. Außerdem ist eine Verbindung von Adobe Connect möglich.

6. Um einen Meetingraum zu erstellen, klicken Sie auf "Neuer Meetingraum +". Auf der folgenden Seite können Sie einen Namen und einen Veranstalter-Pin, sowie weitere Einstellungen vornehmen.

Instruction Microsoft Office 365
– free for all KHM students and employees on their private computers/mobile devices

1. General

This guide helps you install the Office 365 package on your private computer.
The installation is possible on up to 5 computers (Windows/Mac), and 5 mobile devices
(Android/Apple).

The Microsoft Office 365 is offered free to all KHM students and employees.

Your use of Microsoft's license and cloud services will continue for as long as you work or are enrolled at KHM.

2. Installation requirements

To install Microsoft 365 you need:

• a KHM e-mail address
• initial access data to the Office portal.
  You can request the initial access data by sending an e-mail to support@khm.de
  
• an internet connection, because the software will be transferred from the internet to your computer
• time, because the Office 365 package will be downloaded and installed automatically

3. Login to the Office portal and change your password

Open the following page in your browser: https://portal.office.com
Enter your KHM e-mail address and the initial access data and click on “Next”.

You can now use the Office products online directly in your browser or download and install them locally on your device.

Der Zugang zu Moodle erfolgt über folgenden Link:

Der Login erfolgt ebenfalls wie bei vielen anderen Diensten über Shibboleth.

Für das Drucken in A3 und A4  in Schwarzweiß und Farbe stehen den Studierenden drei Multifunktionsdrucker zur Verfügung.

Standorte der Multifunktionsgeräte:

• Filzengraben 2, 4.OG Vorraum Computerseminarraum
• Fotolabor
• Bibliothek, Erdgeschoss

Außerdem kann man an den Multifunktionsdruckern einscannen, Kopien erstellen sowie Scans per Mail verschicken. Die Geräte werden über die Zugangskarte angesteuert und die Drucke werden über das Benutzerkonto abgerechnet.

Am Moneyloader im Filzengraben 4.OG, können die Benutzerkonten aufgeladen werden.

Mobile Print

Das Drucken ist nun auch einfach und unkompliziert von mobilen Endgeräten, wie z.B. Notebooks und Handys möglich. Dazu reicht es einfach eine Mail samt Anhang von Ihrer KHM E-Mail Adresse an print@khm.de zu senden. Danach können Sie am Multifunktionsdrucker wie gehabt unter "Secure Print" Ihre Ausdrucke sehen.

Shibboleth ist eine Software, die als Identity Provider oder als Service Provider fungieren kann. Es ermöglicht die Anmeldung von Benutzern über eine Heiminstitution. 

An der KHM wird dieser Dienst zur Authentifizierung an vielen Stellen eingesetzt, z.B. Website, Wolke oder Webmail.

Die Authentifizierung erfolgt über den KHM-Account, z.B.

Benutzername: max.musterman (ohne @khm.de)

Die KHM ermöglicht allen Lehrenden, Studierenden und MitarbeiterInnen der Hochschule einen Wireless Internetzugang über das Eduroam an. Alle teilnehmenden Universitäten, Hochschulen und anderen Organisationen können gemeinsam dieses Netzwerk einsetzen und anbieten. Somit können Sie mit Ihrem Zugang auch außerhalb der KHM, an teilnehmenden Organisationen, dass örtliche Wireless Lan nutzen.

Um das Eduroam an Ihrem Endgerät zu konfigurieren, müssen Sie über das Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) ein entsprechendes Profil installieren. Dies können Sie direkt am entsprechenden Endgerät über folgende URL vornehmen:

Sollte das Profil vor dem 28.03.23 installiert worden sein, muss es neu heruntergeladen werden.

Auf der Seite klicken Sie auf „Klicken Sie hier, um Ihr eduroam® Installationsprogramm herunterzuladen“ und wählen bei der Wahl der Organisation „Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln“ aus. Es wird Ihnen daraufhin das passende Installationsprogramm angeboten, welches Sie auf Ihrem Endgerät installieren müssen.

Bitte geben Sie bei der Authentifizierung immer die vollständige KHM E-Mail Adresse ein!
