A couple from Vienna in their mid-thirties are spending their holidays at a friend’s cottage, as money is tight. Their relationship is put to the test when they find a six-year-old girl all alone in the forest. ‘In the Distance’ is a film about the stage in life when one must decide between having a family or a career.
