Beate Gütschow: HC

Beate Gütschow zeigt in ihrer kommenden Einzelausstellung HC den gleichnamigen neuen Werkkomplex. HC steht für Hortus Conclusus und bezieht sich auf die bildliche Darstellung von Gärten im Mittelalter und der Frührenaissance.
Gütschow überführt vorgefundene Motive aus der gegenwärtigen Architekturumwelt mit mit Hilfe der Photogrammetrie in die Parallelperspektive. Sie setzt das historische Zitat als eine beabsichtigte Wahrnehmungsbrechung ein, um gleichzeitig aktuelle Entwicklungen in der 3D-Photographie zu verhandeln.

In the upcoming solo exhibition HC, Beate Gütschow will show her new body of work of the same name. HC stands for Hortus Conclusus and refers to the pictorial representation of gardens in medieval and early Renaissance art.
Gütschow takes motifs from the contemporary world of architecture and transfers them to a parallel perspective with the help of photogrammetry. She uses this historical reference as a device not only to challenge the viewer’s perception but also to negotiate current developments in 3D photography.
