At first sight one might think of these three varnished pieces of wood as a reminiscence of minimal art. But the title makes clear that it‘s a visualization of three more or less sociological terms for class affiliation: the English terms White Collar for office employees and Blue Collar for craftsmen and workers as well as the American English expression Red Neck for (reactionistic) farmers. The size of the wood pieces is orientated on the size of a shirt‘s collar as the colour or even the missing of this collar was used as an indicator for social status.
