The paramedic Silke causes a fatal traffic accident, but her guilt cannot clearly be determined. Instead of taking responsibility, she poses as a first aid helper and witness. So she gets to know the investigating police officer Martin. In her distress and desperation she seeks refuge in a relationship with him.
