The End Soundinstallation (2012) The song „The End“, originally recorded by The Doors and later covered by Nico, deals with the termination of a relationship. When Nico who once was engaged to Jim Morrison sings the song, he is already dead. In this case, the end really is an end. In Jens Pecho‘s sound installation two turntables continuously play both versions of the song which establishes some sort of canon. For the recordings are cut onto dub-plates, they will steadily corrode during the time of the exhibition. The result will be a diffuse noise and the conceptual fulfillment of what already has been announced in the songs in several ways and with different connotations.
