""Meeting my grandparents"" is a wedding dress reproducing my grandmother's original dress pattern with 155 of my grandfather's army postal service-letters imprinted. The army postal service-letters used and the original dress itself were stored together in a box for years before being found in 2012 after the death of my grandfather. The new dress is a connection to the past as well as the question to which extent a family's past influences one's life today. A seemingly set picture of a person is taken apart and put together again with each new information. The new dress, the original dress, the letters and left-over pieces of fabric are put together, forming an installation.
