On the internet I came across advertisements of stud cats. The advertisements which are written from the perspective of the animal, are representing the tomcats as willing lovers made available to female cats in heat for a fee. The tomcats, always ready to offer their services of love, are meant to procreate the perfect offspring in seemingly atmospheric and intimate places. Deepest wishes and expectations are becoming apparent in the cat owners advertisements. In my work I observe what happens when the cats are in a space of controlled reproduction and how different behaviours unfold in the scenario of the arranged choice of partner. I am guiding the camera looking for relevant focus points. Flashes of images are starting to emerge, creating movement and patterns of thoughts in my head. Questions are starting to arise - What does the presence of the human provoke in this scenario? As human assumptions are everywhere, some owners believe that their presence animates the animals to give their best, where others believe they are betraying the cats and crossing a line of intimacy. However the question which remains: What answers to what questions are possible for these captured moments?
