This image block is made up of 12 photographs of pink wax plates at a scale of 4:3. Unknown objects have left imprints on the surface of the wax. These objects were 12 lead weights, which I cast in plaster beforehand. The imprints inscribe marks and leave behind irreversible scars, which are copied into the soft, skin-like surface. Photographs of the 12 individual lead shapes that correspond to the wax plates are arranged in order on a chart. A second display chart shows only the black outline of the lead shapes in the same order, complemented with labelling (decomposition, order, resistance, demand) and weight.
